The engine air filter is a rectangular pleated filter located in the front of the engine compartment. Its role is to protect the engine from dirt, bugs, and other types of debris that can go into the engine through its air inlet. It is common practice to get the engine air filter inspected during routine oil change service. At Cutter Mazda, we can inspect the air filter’s quality to determine if a replacement is required.
